Captain Kristian Zoeller is a tournament winning USCG Masters Licensed Captain with 40+ years on the waters surrounding Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Captain Kristian was born & raised on Plum Island and spent his childhood having the beach & ocean has his backyard playground. Whether it was surfcasting from the sandy shores or working his grandfather’s commercial tuna boat, he could always be found someplace near the water. His love of the waters has only grown over time.

Graduating High School and earning his Captains license, Kristian worked summers chasing giant bluefin tuna up and down the east coast. There isn’t a species of fish in the cold waters of Massachusetts that Kristian hasn’t caught and a story to match!

Captain Kristian continued his passion of boating and fishing through a combination of owning his own charter boats and becoming a sought-after charter Captain for hire. Over the years Captain Kristian has become a staple in the charter industry in Newburyport, earning multiple first place finishes in local tournaments including the lauded Newburyport Shark and Tuna Tournament.

In a culmination of professional and personal growth, Captain Kristian started 30 Fathom Charters with First Mate Anna and together they have a goal of providing an all-in-one cruising and fishing charter business, providing an unparalleled level of service aboard industry leading vessels.

First Mate Anna Marcus

Anna has spent her entire life being somewhere on or near the water. Anna grew up in a small town in Massachusetts in a local beach community and from a very young age always knew that the water was her happy place.

Relocating to New Hampshire in 2006, Anna got her Boater’s safety license and spent 15 years boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, she ultimately relocated to the New Hampshire seacoast.

Once Anna and Kristian put their minds and business acumen together it was clear that starting 30 Fathom Charters was a logical next step. They spent months and months searching for the perfect boats to help fulfill their business plan. 

As Anna works towards her Captains license, she is enthusiastic with an optimistic hands-on approach to learning all she can. Anna has an attention to detail that will help ensure all charter guests have an incredible time. Relentless Forward Progress is her personal motto and we are sure you’ll agree as 30 Fathom Charters continues to grow.
